Covid-19: FAQ

Covid-19 and oral surgery procedures FAQs

The doctors and staff of Maxillo3D are fully equipped, trained and prepared to provide all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial surgeries in the current context of COVID-19.

We have implemented all necessary precautions and follow the requirements as recommended by the Order of Dentists of Québec, as well as the public and provincial health guidelines.

As early as April 2020, we have installed a medical grade HEPA filtration system in all treatment rooms as well as non clinical areas and in our socially distanced waiting room.

Patients and referrals can continue to trust our Maxillo3D team to provide the highest quality care while prioritizing the best interests of the community and our patients alike.

We are fully committed to the safety of our patients, staff and doctors during this pandemic.  We have worked hard to make significant improvements to our ventilation system by installing top of the line HEPA filters for the office and all operating rooms.  We have also implemented all required protocols recommended by the Order of Dentists and public health officials and are keeping abreast of any new requirements or developments.  Rest assured that our office has all necessary PPE, including full protection masks and gowns.  If you are worried about your upcoming treatment, please do not hesitate to contact us so that we may address your concerns.

Should I wear a mask and gloves to come to my appointment?

The most recent Public health recommendations are no longer requiring the use of a facial mask while visiting health centers. However, we continue to strongly encourage the use of a facial mask during your visit at Maxillo3D clinic. Please note that you will be asked to clean your hands multiple times throughout your visit to Maxillo3D clinic.

How long will I need to wait in the waiting room with others?

There may be a brief period of wait time in  the clinic’s waiting room.  If need be, we will ask people to wait outside of the clinic if it becomes too busy in the waiting room.  Please be reminded that you must come to your appointment alone, unless you require a parent, guardian or special assistance.

How am I protected from other patients or employees in your office?

We have worked hard to make significant improvements to our ventilation system by installing top of the line HEPA filters for the office and all operating rooms.  Furthermore, all our operating rooms are kept closed at all times, as we do not work in an open-concept space.  Our employees have also received extensive training in cleaning and decontaminating all surfaces and instruments as per public health recommendations.

What do I do if I feel sick before my appointment?

If you develop symptoms, even a few hours before your appointment, please contact our office immediately.  Our employees have been trained to ask you relevant questions and your surgeon will determine if it is best for you to keep your appointment or reschedule it.   Cancellation fees will not be charged if you are sick due to covid-19 and need to cancel your appointment.
